Culturally Safe and Sensitive Care

We understand that cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences play a significant role in shaping mental health. Our team is committed to providing culturally safe and sensitive care, ensuring that our services are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Equal Access for All

Equity is at the core of our mission. We strive to eliminate barriers to mental health care and ensure that everyone, regardless of background, has equal access to the support they need. Our services are designed to be inclusive, affirming, and welcoming to individuals from all walks of life.

Collaborative Partnerships

We actively seek partnerships with organizations and communities to foster a collaborative approach to mental health. By working together, we aim to create a network of support that amplifies the voices of underrepresented communities and advocates for equitable access to mental health resources.

No Cost to You: Publicly Funded Care

Your mental well-being is priceless, and we believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care. For individuals residing in Ontario, OSP services are fully covered by Ontario Health. Your journey towards healing should be accessible and cost should not be a barrier for receiving evidence-based mental health services.

Stepped Care & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

We're not just therapists; we're dedicated to your progress. Our trained staff utilize a measurement-based care approach, ensuring that our interventions are tailored and effective. Your growth and well-being are at the forefront of everything we do. All services in the program are informed by evidence-based CBT approaches. CBT is a structured, short term therapy that teaches individuals practical skills and techniques to help improve mood and mental health.

We are a stepped care program, meaning that most people with begin with self-led resources guided by a coach or clinician, and will move to individual or group therapy if more support is needed. Services may be accessed in a variety of languages depending on availability in the network; we will also arrange to use professional healthcare interpreters if we cannot offer service in a client’s spoken language.

To help connect participants to the service that can best meet their needs, a screening appointment and intake assessment are completed by trained service providers. Among other things, client choice is considered an important factor in this process. While many people will respond well to the initial interventions, others may require more support from a clinician or to be provided with service navigation to another program in their region that would better support their current needs.
